09/08/2021

The major urban regeneration projects for the city of Genoa were presented in Cannes, as part of MIPIM 2021: Eastern Waterfront, Hennebique Silos, Polcevera Park and the Red Circle, and "Caruggi" (the integrated plan for the old city centre).

An extraordinary showcase and an important opportunity for the international promotion of the image and activities of public administrations and private companies with over 100 countries from all over the world.

It was the occasion for the Municipality of Genoa, represented by the city planning councilor, Simonetta Cenci, to also highlight other projects such as the enhancement of Palazzo Galliera; the construction of the Cable Car that will connect the Maritime Station and Begato Fort for the (re)discovery and enhancement of the Forts Park; the recovery of the Military Bakery, in Cornigliano; the restoration of Villa Grimaldi, in Sampierdarena; the redevelopment of the Gavoglio Barracks, which will see the construction of a new urban park of five hectares to be connected to the Forts Park; the redevelopment of the two buildings Tabarca and Metelino in the Darsena area.

Genoa, a dynamic city with an ambitious vision for its future, among major international cities.
