We deliver what we promise.
Genoa reacted to the pain caused by the deadly collapse of the Morandi Bridge by strategically rethinking the areas of Val Polcevera affected by the tragic event.
The new bridge construction was entrusted to the newly established company PerGenova (formed by Salini - Impregilo, Fincantieri Infrastructure, and ItalFerr for the executive part of the design) on a project by Renzo Piano.
The City Administration chose the instrument of International Urban Design Competition for the urban regeneration project of the “Valpolcevera Quadrant” as a virtuous procedure to arrange the masterplan aimed at regenerating the city area directly involved in the tragic event. The “Parco del Ponte” competition was selected as one of the four world’s best practices on the architecture competition, as a tool for urban renewal.
