Today we talk about ocean-related sustainability. At the end of march 2022 the Genoa Process officially started. Genova Process through a series of events and summit has among its objectives to achieve by 2030 the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Ocean. The last summit will coincide with the arrival in Genoa of the race around the world on sailboats called The Ocean Race. During the competition water sampling will be made to know the state of health of the oceans.
The Grand Finale of The Ocean Race will be in the Waterfront and will have a blue infrastructure that will allow it to absorb more C02 compared to that produced by building. This allows us to go positive, getting an urban park able to absorb the everyday emissions. The Ocean Live Park will be sustainable at the 100%, because the impact of the arrival of the materials will be mitigated with a green compensation in the area of the event and in and surrounding areas. Also for tourist transport, green mobility will be used inside the fair trade. Food and beverage sector will have products at km0 or from sustainable supply chains.
Finally the textile, energy, scientific and technical sectors will be the future. Promoting industry 5.0 that will see the public and private sector working together.
