A modern building of considerable size, located in the San Martino district, east of the city, on the edge of a public residential area with plenty of green spaces and services. Built in the 1960s for educational purposes, it houses a branch of the "Gaslini" professional institute for dental technicians.
The building consists of two main volumes, parallel and staggered, facing south-west/north-east. The entire building is publicly owned, but only the eastern half is included in the present portfolio (the other half is currently in use by the Province for school purposes). The building has four above-ground floors (first, second and third floors are essentially equal and the ground floor includes a gymnasium) plus a basement, which currently houses the municipal police headquarters and the former caretaker's quarters, each with its own entrance.
Access from the street is shared with the "Villa Savoretti" nursery school. Nearby are Corso Europa (pedemontana road), the San Martino hospital and the Carlini stadium.
Despite the critical maintenance conditions, the building's strengths lie in its large size, organised through a rational layout, its accessibility by car, the presence of green areas and its location in a quality residential context, close to the hospital.
