The presence of the City of Genova at Mipim in Cannes has been a success. The Marché International des Professionels de l'Immobilier, which closes today in the city on the Côte d'Azur, saw the participation of the Municipality with a stand in the Riviera 9 pavilion at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrés.
Today Mayor Marco Bucci, and the President of the Liguria Region, Giovanni Toti, illustrated 'Genoa 2030: the city of the future' to an attentive audience of investors and finance, and real estate professionals. “Genova is running to become the reference port city for the southern Mediterranean, with a strong international vocation, with new infrastructures that will connect it to Milan in less than an hour, a high quality of life, and with a real estate market that will see values double, once the major transformations underway are completed” - said Mayor Bucci during the presentation, illustrating the model on display at the Genova stand – “There is a great interest, which has exceeded expectations, on the part of the professionals who have visited, in large numbers, the Genoa Municipality stand and seen the model. A great interest for our city, which has a multifaceted and polyhedral vocation, from industry to tourism, from logistics to high technology. We noticed major interest from international investors especially in the hotel industry, given the large investments in tourism and cruises, and in the high-tech sector due to the presence of submarine cables and the digital hub. Great attention has also been shown on student housing, linked to the university”.
Mayor Bucci also announced that the 6-by-3 model will be on display at Palazzo Tursi in the coming days and will be open to the public.
“I would like to thank the builders of the model, which was much appreciated and is unique compared to the other models at Mipim, because it shows the idea of the city of the future complete, from the sea to the hinterland with a 73% surface area of green.”
